When you come in for your appointment with either Dr. Subbio or one of our nurse practitioners, you will be able to ask all of your questions related to the treatment and have a better understanding of how it works. After the two of you decide on the appropriate lip filler and the direction of your treatment, your provider will create your treatment plan. When it’s time for your Lip Filler treatment, we will first make you comfortable in our reclining chair. Please keep in mind that while the treatment is rather quick, it will take about 15 to 30 minutes for your lips to become fully numb.
Your provider will use a thin needle to inject the lip filler into your lips at strategic locations, which can include the edges of your lips (vermillion border), the corners of your mouth, and your Cupid’s Bow, which is the curve in the center of your upper lip. While you shouldn’t feel any pain, many patients have expressed there is a pinching sensation, that can cause eyes to water.
