Dr. Charles Schafer

Throughout his childhood, Dr. Schafer was exposed to the medical field early and often. His father is a general and vascular surgeon, and his mother is an aesthetic nurse injector. From spending time with his father and hearing about the meaningful experiences in the operating room, this sparked his interest in medicine and ultimately served as his main motivation to become a surgeon. Dr. Schafer’s desire to be in the operating room was strengthened during his medical school rotations. He embarked on his rigorous general surgery training, where he learned how to operate safely on very complex and sick patients. After this training, he earned board certification from the American Board of Surgery. 

Dr. Schafer was then selected to a highly competitive plastic surgery fellowship where he trained under many surgeons who helped him discover and confirm his passion for aesthetic surgery. Dr. Schafer believes that each patient deserves an individualized surgical plan based on specific anatomy and aesthetic goals. His extensive surgical training and experience has given him an elite understanding of anatomy as well as the ability to obtain the best aesthetic result in the safest manner possible. Outside of the practice and OR, Dr. Schafer enjoys playing competitive racquetball, trying new restaurants with his wife Kaitlin, playing fetch with his Golden Retriever Bruce, and spending quality time with his daughter Brynn.
